Meet: the .Vegas contest winner!
Fuzz.Vegas will help bring lost pets home
We’re very excited to announce that local Las Vegan Francis Casanova won our recent contest! Francis pitched a great concept for fuzz.vegas: a site dedicated to reuniting locals with their fuzzy friends.
Francis says the idea came to him because he’s always enjoyed helping others and was interested in starting a project he could manage in his spare time. When he saw the word “fuzz” he immediately thought of animals and it reminded him of a time when a friend lost her dog and was able to be reunited with the pup. He hopes fuzz.vegas will be able to work with other local organizations and agencies to help bring lost pets back to their owners.
He says of launching the new site, “I envision fuzz.vegas as a people-powered community. I am already part of an amazing volunteer group, Las Vegas Young Professionals Kiwanis, where I can get some help with [running the site] already but I’m open to more people getting involved.”
Francis is hoping to have the site designed and launched very soon! He has a background in website and graphic design and is very excited to work with the .Vegas domain extension. He says, “The .Vegas domain extension is definitely a promising product for the Las Vegas community. I feel like it strengthens the pride of our city and whenever you see .Vegas, you’ll know it’s related to fun experiences and great service.”
We’ll be sure to update when fuzz.vegas launches! Thank you Francis for this great concept and congratulations on the win! We look forward to hearing about your success with fuzz.vegas.
